Accommodations
An Island Retreat
Exquisite cuisine, comfortable lodging & breathtaking views.
A lighted boardwalk allows easy movement around the scenic island shoreline, connecting guest cabins to our dining room, lodge and other facilities.
As you stroll, you’ll be treated to amazing Alaskan scenery, including the island-studded waterway known as Alaska’s Inside Passage. Wildflowers and wildlife are abundant in this lush, rain forest environment and the sunsets at our island paradise are second to none.
Our Location
Our lodge is located on Hummingbird Island, part of Alaska’s famous Inside Passage. The historic city of Sitka is just minutes away on the much larger Baranof Island.
The climate is mild, with summer highs averaging 61° F in July. Rain is common—we receive nearly 100 inches of precipitation annually. Bring clothing that allow you to dress in layers, so you can add or subtract layers as the weather and your activities change. Quest Alaska Lodges provides the all-weather gear and rubber boots.
Our Cabins
At the end of your day aboard Quest Island, you’ll retreat to the comfort of your own private hideaway.
Hummingbird Island offers guest lodging in private waterfront fishing cabins. Each is easily accessible via the scenic, illuminated boardwalk that encircles the island.
Three of these modern Alaska fishing cabins have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. They are fully furnished, including chairs and sofas, kitchenettes and a dining room table, beds and bedding.
One of the best things about our cabins is that each has several large picture windows. All three main cabins are set right above the shoreline so the views are incredible. Step out onto your deck for a closer look. Whales, eagles and otters are a sample of the wildlife you might spot when enjoying a cocktail on your deck or while relaxing on the sofa and gazing out your picture windows.
We also offer four smaller one bed cabins which include a bedroom, single bathroom, recliner, either king or queen bed and compact refrigerator.
Our all-inclusive Platinum Adventure package prices are based on four persons per boat. We can easily accommodate larger families and small corporate groups up to 16 people.
Edgecome Cabin
Named for its views of Mt. Edgecome, this cabin includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is fully furnished, including chairs and sofas, kitchenettes and a dining room table, beds and bedding.
Clam Cabin
Boasting two bedrooms and the rest of the amenities as our other larger cabins, Clam Cabin gets its name from the abundance of clams that can be found under its deck.
Eagles Nest Cabin
An eagle family has been raising its young in a nest above this cabin. Like Clam and Edgecome, this one has two bedrooms and bathrooms as well as the other amenities.
Single Bed Cabins
Quest Alaska Lodges offers four smaller cabins each with one bedroom/one bathroom. These cabins are furnished with one king or queen bed, recliner, and a compact refrigerator.
Alaskan Cuisine
Exquisite cuisine, comfortable lodging & breathtaking views.
It’s hard to believe, but you might enjoy the Alaskan food as much as the fishing. Our Pacific Rim and local Alaskan cuisine will have you begging for recipes.
Our chefs are happy to cook the fish you catch, or create dishes to meet your requests and dietary needs.
Our hearty breakfasts, delicious lunches and unforgettable dinners are supplemented with snacks, appetizers, beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks.
The view from our dining room is truly incredible. This facility doubles as a great venue for corporate gatherings. Eagles, whales and other wildlife are frequently visible during meals and meetings because this lodge is set right on the water’s edge.
